Mint Dress

This is a refreshing sporty dress that features side metal zipper pockets and a lovely deep V neckline. The casual length and silhouette easily flatters any body type! You could also try belting this dress for a casual daytime look. The neckline is finished with a facing and the armholes and hemline are secured with hand stitching to avoid any visible topstitching on the dress for a couture finish.

fantastic experience - makes sewing SEW much easier!

I'm super proud of my first dress using sprout! I fell in love with rubydoor's fabric and the clean lines of this pattern were just the thing to show it off! I decided to use silky faille and it is so light and airy and soft (perfect for florida heat!). The process was relatively easy, though not all markings were included on the printed pattern (just the outlines) so you did have to refer to the pdf for the pockets, stopping point for the sleeves, etc. However, the included video really helped a zipper-phobic person such as myself with the pockets. I opted for top stitching in a few areas instead of hand stitching. I had to make a few alterations to get the fit to be just so - I'd say there is plenty of ease in this garment so if you're on the fence about sizes you could probably size down (depending on your body shape). Can't wait to rock it this weekend! I'm the owner of an art studio and I've already referred several clients to the service as well. I would definitely continue using this service more myself if the price came down a bit. $80 for a dress that i made myself is a little steep for this gal's budget.
